Petite Cherie

Type: Fruity/Floral/Musky

Notes: Pear, Peach, Musky rose, Fresh cut grass, Vanilla

Petite Cherie was a gift created by Annick Goutal for her daughter Camille in 1998. It is named after Camille's nickname for her mother, Annick. Annick said of this fragrance that it is "reminiscent of a young girl's cheek that you want to lovingly kiss".

Another timeless fragrance from Annick Goutal which speaks of her ability to create unique, beautiful perfumes which through the olfactory sense, paints a picture as an artist would on canvas.

This perfume comes in EDT, and EDP strength in the classic glass bottle, with a mint green bow and gold cap. It is also available in the Butterfly bottle as well which is frosted mint green.

Ninfeo Mio

Type: Citrus/Green/Woody
Launched: 2010
Notes: Italian lemon, citron, petitgrain, bitter orange, galbanum extract, lentisque absolute, fig leaf, lemon tree wood

Ninfeo Mio is a masterpiece created by none other than Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen. Together they continue the legacy of Annick Goutal in unique perfume perfection. This is a formula inspired by the legendary garden of the Hesperides. This was a garden that Camille and Isabelle fantasized about. They learned of the existence of such a garden located near Rome. The gardens of Ninfa, in which medieval ruins crowned in emerald green and all of the plants that they had imagined could still be found. Through the garden flows the Ninfeo river in which is reflected the forest bark, leaves, citrus fruit and figs. In the shade of a pine tree, Camille and Isabelle both found the fragrance they were looking to create was in the air around them. And so was born Ninfeo Mio.

All of these notes are clear and detectable as they each develop on the skin. I detect a coconut note as well which is not on the list at the Goutal site but it is clearly there on my skin. I have received nothing but compliments when I wear this fragrance. It is long lasting and can still be detected 10 hrs later. It may be wore with Nuit E Toilee as well to deeping the woody scent and the combination is very lovely. It comes in the classic signature Annick Goutal Bottle in a frosted pale green with a gold cap.

This perfume mists from this beautiful blue bottle with a burst of citron, sweet orange and peppermint. At the Annick Goutal site, this fragrance is described as "Nature at Nightfall", "enchanted forests amid a starry night". With this fragrance Camille and Isabelle created a dream world, pristine open spaces, majestic forests with waterfalls flowing between trees, soft pebble paths and the occasional pine cone crunching under foot. Indeed with Nuit E Toilee they have created all of this in this wonderful easy to wear comfortable perfume for any day, any month, anytime perfume.

Eau de Charlotte

Type: fruity/ floral/sweet

Notes: Balck durrant buds, mimosa and cocoa in a vanilla base

Launched: 1982

Annick Goutal created this for her step daughter Charlotte. This fragrance reflected Charlotte's tastes and personality, one of which was black currant jam. This perfume reveals a spirited, twinkling, generous and romantic woman difficult to resist.

Eau de Charlotte springs from the bottle in a wondrous mist of black current. Fruity, it caresses the nose and senses rapidly joined by mimosa. As this perfume develops further I can detect lily of the valley even though it is not listed as one of the notes. Onward it goes to the heart of cocoa and finally the vanilla base.

For me this fragrance brings to mind a light, airy, delicate rose colored cashmere sweater worn over a white lacy blouse. This fragrance is masterfully blended and on me is long wearing, cozy and easy to wear.

Coco Noir

Type: Oriental

Top: grapefruit, Calibrian bergamot
Heart: rose absolute, rose essence, jasmin absolute, narcissus, rose geranium leaf
Base: Brazilian tonka bean, Venezuelan tonka bean, white musk, sandalwood, patchouli

For the House of Channel from the nose of Jacques Polge and Christopher Sheldrake, comes, Coco Noir. This fragrance launched in August of 2012.

On me this fragrance races like a sprinter in the fifty yard dash from the Top notes through to the base notes in 10 minutes. The final dry down came in one hour. This was not a fragrance matched to my chemistry at all. That being stated I was sorely disappointed but happy this had been a sample and not the bottle. For one hour the fragrance was somewhat soapy, and woody with a hint of the floral notes. Then after that all I could detect was blackberry jam and sandalwood. This was not something that I would have expected from a Channel fragrance but, alas that is exactly what has happened. Try a sample first before buying this one, would be my best advice. I wear other fragrances from Channel with none of the issues I have with this one.
